For a mother, witnessing her child walk down the aisle is a memorable moment to look forward to. But for Cher, it seems she won’t have this honor when her eldest son, Bono, marries his fiancée, Shara Blue Mathes.

Reports have claimed that the 54-year-old “Dancing With the Stars” alum’s relationship with Cher has been strained for a while, and their issues have convinced him that the right move is to take her off the list of guests for his wedding.

“Chaz and Shara are removing Cher from the guest list entirely and don’t feel too bad about it either,” said an insider, per Intouch Weekly. “They want a simple ceremony with none of Cher’s theatrics.”

The source also noted that, apart from Bono, Cher’s other son Elijah also has a strained relationship with the Goddess of Pop.

They added, “Cher has tried to be there for her kids. But neither wants anything to do with her. It’s devastating.”

According to a report, an insider said: “He reasons if Cher doesn’t have anything nice to say about Shara, then don’t say anything at all.”

“Cher has put her kids through half a century of drama, and now all they want is for her to go away. They don’t want her meddling – and they don’t want or need her money,” the insider added.

Another source reported that Chaz and Elijah think Cher is a “hypocrite” and has “no business controlling their lives when she can’t even manage her own life.”

They further mentioned, per Radar Online, that both kids are of the opinion that she is a “terrible mother” and “horrible influence” who only cares about  her “career and men.”

It appears that Bono’s life isn’t the only one she has allegedly tried to “meddle” in, as Cher previously filed and lost a conservatorship suit to assume control of her son Elijah’s finances.

This act from her seemed to spur Elijah and his wife, Marieangela King, to dismiss their earlier divorce filing in an effort to prevent this intervention.

The court battle led to many bombshells being revealed, with Cher even claiming that her daughter-in-law wasn’t acting in her son’s best interest and accusing her of refusing to get him the help he needed to battle his addictions.

Cher went further, expressing concern that Elijah might not survive the year without the court granting her the conservatorship.

As a retort, King stated that she had always “wanted the best for Elijah,” contrary to Cher’s claim. Additionally, she questioned Cher’s suitability for managing Elijah’s affairs, remarking pointedly, “She doesn’t drive, doesn’t make her own food, or dress herself.”

Elijah Blue Allman Spoke Against The Conservatorship

Elijah also spoke out against the conservatorship in a court filing while the case was ongoing.

“While I understand that my mother, the proposed conservator, believes she is looking out for my best interests, and I appreciate her love and support, I do not need her unsolicited help or support at this time,” Elijah said, having previously stated that he has been sober for more than three months and attending Alcoholics Anonymous.

After the conservatorship was denied, Elijah’s wife shared that they had moved on from their initial troubles.

“Elijah and I are happy,” King told the Daily Mail. “We need our space. Our situation is not uncommon, where a mother-in-law intervenes. I’m happy with the court’s decision, and now we need our freedom to have a chance to live happily.”
