10 Standing Up Against Hate

During a time when Dazzler is taking a break from being a superhero and wanting to focus on her music again, Ali finds escalating hate and intolerance against Inhumans by her fellow mutants. When she sees Inhuman fans being harassed and eventually attacked, she learns that an Inhuman hate group called Mutant Action is determined to keep Inhumans out of mutant spaces. Dazzler tries to combat the prejudice with speeches that call for unity as well as using her powers against the hate group in a final showdown.
This moment from Dazzler shows that she is always willing to stand up for what’s right, even if it puts herself on the line. Likewise, it is an example that she practices the unity and acceptance that she preaches. It reveals her as one of the most peace-abiding and espousing members of the X-Men, especially when compared to other heroes like Wolverine.
9 Blasting Off Psylocke’s Face

Led by Madelyne Pryor, the Sisterhood of Mutants is an all-female version of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants that goes up against Dazzler. Trying to reincarnate the group so that it can continue, Madelybe Pryor is aided by the villain Kwannon in Psylocke’s body. When the Sisterhood of Mutants attacks the X-Men, Dazzler jumps into action as part of another superhero team. In an awesome show of her powers, Dazzler uses the sounds of the bustling city of San Francisco, where she is based at the time, and converts it into a laser that’s so powerful that it blasts Psylocke/Kwannon’s face off. Many Marvel fans can underplay Dazzler’s abilities and powers at times, but this moment of hers shows that she can be an unstoppable force when the pressure is on and the situation calls for it.
8 Her Krakoan Celebration

As much as she has aided the X-Men as well as other teams like A-Force and S.H.I.E.L.D, she could easily take time off and rest on her laurels. Instead, she wants to celebrate her community and entertain them, putting on an awe-inspiring presentation.
Playing a big part in the mutant community, Dazzler would naturally be somehow involved in commemorating the inauguration of Krakoa. Wanting to celebrate the occasion with a flash, literally, she teams up with Siryn to create a showstopping light show for Krakoa and its citizens. While this moment of Dazzler’s does not involve defeating nefarious villains or kicking some heads in, it is a moment where Dazzler’s powers are on full display.
The light show is stunning and far-reaching, able to be seen anywhere on the island, thanks to Siryn’s sonic scream. It is also a moment that shows how much Dazzler cares about her community. 7 Victorious Against Black Bolt

In the Marvel Universe, friends can easily become foes (just look at Civil War). Such is the case for Dazzler and the leader of the Inhumans, Black Bolt. More than friends, the pair have been allies in the past, with Black Bolt boosting Dazzler’s powers with his own abilities. However, their amicable relationship takes a bad turn during the Inhumans vs X-Men event.
While Black Bolt may be an incredibly intimidating superhuman to go against, Dazzler rises to the challenge against her former friend, as seen when she absorbs his booming voice and powers it back at him. In effect, she is able to knock him out of the fight. While it’s not easy to go against someone who used to be her friend and ally, she is so determined to do good that she uses her powers to her fullest extent against him.

6 Defeating An Enemy With No Violence

A big part of Dazzler lore involves Dazzler: The Movie, an in-universe film about and starring Dazzler. The movie’s production and release has all sorts of negative consequences, such as turning public perception of mutants to be more negative. Another disastrous effect of the film was that it sets Dazzler in close proximity to the vile Hollywood producer Eric Beale. When Dazzler rejects his advances, he becomes crazed and vows to kill her. Some time later, after numerous previous attempts, he kidnaps her. Rather than meet his rage with more violence, Dazzler produces a light show that actually calms Eric Beale and stops him from harming her. This moment shows that Dazzler is incredibly smart, able to think her way out of a potentially fatal situation, while defeating a villain without any blood being shed.
5 Dazzler: Vampire Slayer

Giving Buffy a run for her money, Dazzler was involved in an awesome vampire slaying storyline that added more range and scope to her abilities, showing her powers used in a way that had never been shown before. When Deadpool is involved in an all-out war against vampires due to a dramatic love triangle situation with Dracula, he needs some specific assistance from an old friend. However, in the present, Dazzler and Deadpool are not on good terms. So, he goes back in time to bring a previous version of her back to the future to fight the vampires alongside him with her light powers.
Dazzler demolishes the vampires with her abilities. For Deadpool, who packs quite a punch, to need assistance shows what a huge threat he is up against. In a fight against vampires, only Dazzler would be the most effective against these specific light-hating villains, showing how valuable she is.

4 Helping To Reform Excalibur

Not only is Dazzler okay after the near-fatal attack, but her body shows no signs of harm. This event motivates Dazzler and other superheroes to defeat Shadow-X, a battle in which the heroes are victorious. After a successful mission, she and the other superheroes band together to reform Excalibur, a government-sponsored team of superheroes made to protect the United Kingdom and the world in general.
The moment shows Dazzler’s resiliency and is a great example of her self-resurrection powers, a helpful ability to have when constantly fighting with your life on the line. Likewise, the moment provides an example of Dazzler’s exceptional teamwork abilities, as she defeats an evil team alongside other heroes and restarts a superhero group dedicated to protecting the Earth.
3 Beating The Hulk

While Dazzler has been aligned with many superheroes throughout her history, she has also surprisingly gone up against a superhero who has not always done good: the Hulk. In an unexpected crossover, Hulk and Dazzler meet when Bruce Banner goes undercover as a janitor looking into research that could cure him of being the Hulk. By coincidence, this takes place at the same university where Dazzler is performing a country gig (she’s versatile!).
Bruce is spotted trying to break into a lab and his adrenaline spikes when being chased by security, causing him to turn into the Hulk. This calls for Dazzler to step in to stop Hulk from endangering her audience. Dazzler struggles against the Hulk before he runs away, but she sees him react calmly to a caged dog, causing her to switch strategies. She puts on a calming light show for him, making him revert to Bruce Banner. In this moment, Dazzler is able to strategize based on her opponent’s behaviors, showing a keen emotional intelligence and strategic mindset.
2 Saving The Multiverse
X-Treme X-Men Vol 2 #1 By Greg Pak, Stephen Segovia, Dennis Crisostomo, and Jessica Kholinne
After an unfortunate accident with a multiverse device called the Ghost Box, Dazzler is transported into an alternate reality that’s filled with different versions of X-Men members. Soon after, Dazzler becomes the leader of this alternate team of X-Men. In this other world, however, Dazzler finds out that the multiverse is in danger due to 10 diabolical versions of Charles Xavier.
The mission to defeat the band of evil Professor X’s is not without its difficulties and obstacles, as is expected with such a mission. However, Dazzler is successful and saves the universe and multiverse. This moment shows that Dazzler is capable of being an incredibly effective leader, able to lead a team even in an unknown environment and when the odds seem insurmountable. Only a handful of heroes can say that they have saved the multiverse, but Dazzler belongs to that exclusive, illustrious group.
1 Freeing The X-Men From The Hellfire Club
X-Men Vol 1 #130 By Chris Claremont, John Byrne, and Terry Austin
Dazzler is a hot commodity in her first appearance when Emma Frost, White Queen of the Hellfire Club, and Professor X notice her light powers that she uses in her live performances. As a result, the X-Men and the Hellfire Club both try to recruit Alison to their side. True to form, the X-Men attempt to recruit her by talking to her, while the Hellfire Club instead decides to recruit her by force. Like any time when the Hellfire Club is involved, things get out of hand, and they kidnap some members of the X-Men.
This use of force necessitates Dazzler and the remaining X-Men members to work together to defeat the Hellfire Club and save the X-Men who are beng held captive. Dazzler’s introduction to the X-Men world shows that she is not only a highly sought-after superhero due to her unique powers, but that she is also an exceptional team player who would be an asset to any organization.
