Maybe you’re no longer counting down the days till Santa arrives, but you’ll probably still get a little thrill every time you open up a door on your calendar each day. What better way to add a little cheer to the holiday season? They make great hostess gifts too, which is important during prime party season.

This story is part of Gift Guide, our year-round collection of the best gift ideas.

There are a lot of Advent calendars to choose from, and they cater to practically every interest. We’ve rounded up a list of the best Advent calendars based on our own personal experience and our research into the most in-demand ones. Some of them are for more mature tastes, like boozy calendars and ones that feature makeup. Others are for those of us who are still kids at heart: Funko Pop Disney or Lego Harry Potter anyone? So whether you’re shopping for a gift or just looking to treat yourself this holiday season, check out this year’s best Advent calendars. But don’t delay — a lot of these Advent calendars sell out fast.
