A few months ago Wizards’ latest Magic: Universes Beyond release celebrated 60 years of Doctor Who in style, with decks filled with cards from every era of the show… except its then-upcoming present. That’s all changing very soon, thankfully.
Today Wizards of the Coast revealed the latest addition to its Secret Lair drop store is a special new Doctor Who 60th anniversary collection, simply titled Regeneration. “We do have a plan [for the 14th and 15th Doctors],” Magic: The Gathering Principal Game Designer Gavin Verhey previously told press ahead of the release of the four Doctor Who commander decks. “We did not forget that there is some brand new stuff on the horizon.”
That horizon is now here, and it’s brought the Meep with it. The collection, available as standard (for $40) and foil variants ($50), depicts five brand-new cards for the 14th and 15th Doctors, the Meep from “The Star Beast,” Donna Noble’s daughter Rose, and the villain of the climactic anniversary special “The Giggle,” Neil Patrick Harris’ Toymaker.
