Max Verstappen will look to complete his near-perfect 2023 F1 season by winning the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from pole position on Sunday.
The Dutchman dominated on track throughout qualifying yesterday, setting some impressive lap times as his blistering pace looks set to continue for at least another weekend to see out a famous individual campaign.
During this final race of the season, Red Bull’s number one driver looks set to again be chased by Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc who starts from P2, whilst McLaren rookie Oscar Piastri begins in P3 and will look to top off his first year in the sport with another impressive showing here.
There’s plenty of drivers who’ll need to battle through the grid order too, which should increase the excitement here in Abu Dhabi. That’s because Sergio Perez starts from P9, Lewis Hamilton from P11 and Carlos Sainz from all the way down in P15 as all three drivers struggled during yesterday’s qualifying sessions.
