The second FBI spinoff, FBI: International, has continued to expand the global reach of the exciting procedural throughout its three seasons thus far, but will the show be renewed for season 4? Premiering in 2021, the series follows elite agents of the FBI’s Fly Team, a group tasked with protecting American citizens abroad from various threats. Spawned from the creative mind of TV maven Dick Wolf, the series turns the procedural genre on its ear with an exciting new location and new stipulations not found in any other “cop show”.
As a franchise, FBI began with the debut of the eponymous series in 2018, and has rapidly expanded in the years since with two spinoffs. Though FBI: Most Wanted is a more traditional continuation of the original, International is already blazing its own trail with a variety of cases not found in the other shows in the Dick Wolf universe. Like the rest of the FBI universe, FBI: International has been a ratings hit for CBS, and though the show hasn’t been renewed for a fourth season yet, it seems like a foregone conclusion.

Season 4 Has Not Been Given The Green Light By CBS
Because the third season of FBI: International is still airing, it isn’t really that shocking that it hasn’t been picked up for a fourth season yet. All three FBI shows are currently entering the final season in their recent two-season renewal back in 2022, and CBS is likely weighing their options before proceeding. However, the overwhelming popularity of the franchise makes FBI: International season 4 a shoo-in, but the network will probably use the data from season 3 to decide if it has earned a single-season order or another multi-season deal.

Though they are somewhat rare, procedurals like FBI: International do see some changes in their casts over the years, and season 3 had some shakeups. With that in mind, it’s unlikely that the cast of FBI: International season 4 will be much different from season 3. Details about FBI: International season 4 are difficult to speculate on since season 3 is still airing. The destruction of the team’s headquarters at the end of season 2 will be resolved during season 3, which gives the proceeding season 4 a blank slate to work with.
