Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was released from prison last year after pleading guilty to her involvement in her mother’s murder, is apologizing for ghosting her fans on social media, admitting she “did a bad thing.”
As you know, Gypsy was charged with second-degree murder for conspiring with her ex-boyfriend Nick Godejohn to kill her mother, Dee Dee, on June 9, 2015, following years of abuse.
Gypsy Rose is believed to be a victim of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, which is a psychological disorder where the caretaker either makes up fake symptoms or causes real symptoms to make it look like the child is sick to get charity or sympathy.
Because of this, many people are rallying behind Gypsy, showing their support and appreciation for her. However, Gypsy recently ghosted those fans as she deleted her Instagram and X profiles without any warning.

After her prison release, Gypsy Rose Blanchard gained millions of followers on Instagram. She then created a TikTok account, where she continues to share videos from her day-to-day life and hops on some of the latest social media trends.
However, last week, she went MIA on Instagram and X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, shocking her 7.8M followers.
Gypsy’s last post shared on Instagram before going MIA was a video of her debuting a balayage hairstyle in her “comeback kid era.”
Gypsy Rose Blanchard Releases Apology Following Social Media Exit

After ghosting her millions of followers on social media, Gypsy Rose released a public apology, beginning with:
“Number one, to all the people that I offended with a lack of accountability, the first month or so that I was out of prison and the lack of accountability in my interviews, I’m sorry. I’m learning. I take accountability for my part, and I’m saying this right now. I’m taking accountability. I did a bad thing.”
She added, however, that she has “been given a second chance at life” and is asking her followers to “give me a little grace.”
“Let my actions match my words. And we’ll go from there,” Blanchard added. “I definitely have a good support system. And I think I’m just now starting to get around to listening to my inner self instead of all the noise that’s been on social media. So with that being said, thank you so much for watching and hearing me out.”
The ex-convict added that the recent TikTok video intended to offer a “public apology to anyone that felt offended by my lack of accountability,” particularly surrounding the interviews she performed with various news outlets right after she was released from prison.

A few days after Gypsy went MIA on Instagram and X, she released a statement on her TikTok (her only social media profile left), telling her fans, “What happened is I had a really good conversation with my dad, actually. He gave me some guidance that I feel like I really need. And that guidance was to show me that real life is something you can touch, something you can feel. People you can actually hug.”
It was later revealed to People that her social media deletion “was at the advisement of her parole officer, so she won’t get in trouble and go back to jail.”

In the TikTok video, Gypsy claimed, “I do my best to live my authentic life, and what’s real to me and what’s not real is social media. Social media is literally a doorway to h—. It’s so crazy. I can’t even wrap my head around what social media is.”
She then went on to say she wanted to “enjoy social media like the next person, taking selfies and just acting goofy” following her prison release, however, things took a turn, and she began to face online hate and online bullying.
“I could not “give a f— about a following,” the ex-convict added as a response to those who have claimed Gypsy just wanted to become an influencer or Instagram famous.

While Gypsy has deleted her social media platforms, her husband, Ryan Anderson, seemingly plans to stick around as his Instagram account is still public, and he is now following Gypsy’s new, private Instagram account.
