Israel has received a list of the hostages to be released by Hamas on Saturday, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said, ahead of what was expected to be a second day that captives in Gaza are exchanged for Palestinian prisoners in Israel. Hamas freed 24 hostages on Friday: 13 Israeli, some with dual German citizenship, 10 Thai and one Filipino. Israel returned at least 33 prisoners to the occupied Palestinian territories, according to the Red Cross and Qatar, which has acted as a mediator; there have been some discrepancies in the reports on the number released. A pause in fighting, which began Friday, allowed 137 trucks of goods to enter, “making it the largest volume of aid since the resumption of humanitarian deliveries” on Oct. 21, the U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said.
