Kaileen Angelic Chang as Carmie Henley

Carmie is the main character of I Woke Up A Vampire, who learns she is a half-human, half-vampire on a 13th birthday. Luckily for her, going out in the sun will not turn her to ashes just yet, and even her bloodlust as a vampire is in control. However, despite not facing the struggles of a typical vampire, she has to make one tough choice before she turns 16: does she want to be a vampire for the rest of her life or live normally as a human? At the same time, she also has to learn to keep her newly-acquired superhuman speed, strength, and ability to fly a secret from people at her school.

I Woke Up a Vampire’s protagonist, Carmie, is portrayed by Kaileen Angelic Chang. Based out of Los Angeles, the actress made her television debut with I Woke Up A Vampire. However, she has previously starred in shorts such as A Crazy Daisy Disaster, Back In time, and Dead Giveaway.

Niko Ceci as Kev Gardner

Although Carmie gets anxious about her new abilities, her best friend Kev Gardner assures her that nothing is wrong with her. Being a comic book nerd, Kev also knows a lot about the supernatural. Since he is the first one to learn about Carmie’s powers, he helps her navigate the world with her powers using his knowledge of half-human, half-supernatural characters from comic books. Compared to other characters his age in I Woke Up A Vampire, Kev shows a lot of maturity and serves as a non-judgemental guiding force for Carmie after she discovers she is a Vampling.

Niko Ceci, who plays Kev Gardner in I Woke Up A Vampire, has previously done voice acting roles in several animated shows such as Clifford the Big Red Dog and Corn & Peg. He also made a brief appearance in the TV series Incorporated and may also be recognizable for playing Seattle Mr. O in one Odd Squad episode. He is also set to play Felix in Apple TV+’s Circuit Breakers.

Zebastin Borjeau as Dylan Helsing

As his name suggests, Dylan Helsing is a descendant of the renowned vampire hunter Van Helsing. With several weapons at his disposal, Dylan diligently does his job as a vampire hunter. However, despite having vampire-hunting blood flowing through his veins, he later befriends Kev and Carmie. Canadian actor Zebastin Borjeau plays Dylan Helsing in I Woke Up A Vampire. Before starring as Dylan, the actor played Young Joe Pinkett in Joe Pinkett, Elliott Jr. in 2019’s E.T.: A Holiday Special, and Young Julian in Charmed.
